As I have reflected on the words of Jesus in the book of Luke which I read all during December, my heart continues to be drawn to the words of Jesus when he healed people. He’d say to some of them, “Your faith has made you whole.” He did the healing and the healed ones did the believing that it was possible. I have been challenged to spread my faith roots and see what God will do so my Word for 2022 is Faith!

As I have faith in God, He responds by fulfilling His plans for me. It pleases God for me to have faith in Him, to believe His Word in the Bible and to believe He cares about me. I am thrilled to be fulfilled through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior! I have already begun a study in Galatians on Faith from The Daily Grace Co. and am reading Debbie Alsdorf’s book “The Faith Dare”!

I was inspired today to write a poem about my journey into 2022 with the desire to increase my faith:

‘Twas New Years Eve Eve
And all through the house
I finally relaxed
And the cat sat crouched.

Boxes were packed with our Christmas treasures
I loved how they brought us all such great pleasure!

It’s a time for reflection, vision and fortitude
As I process my life with deep gratitude.

All praise to God who heals, directs and supplies my needs
And by Faith in Him, I will purposely proceed.

Into ‘22, all things are made new
In hopes that Jesus will give me a view.

Viewing myself as believing and trusting
Makes me joy filled in the Word I am sharing.

My Word for ‘22 is a noun and an action.
It is “Faith” because it is a reaction.

After reading in Luke for most days in December
I heard Jesus say, “Your faith” to help us remember
That He healed the sick and saw their faith swell
then they shared their thanks to Him who cannot fail.

I am exploring Faith in God to help me grow deeper
So my faith roots will spread as I believe in my Keeper.

He keeps me from stumbling and leads me on
To overcome sin by His blood that atoned.

Praise to the Lord most high
For my boxes are packed
And on Jesus I rely!

The Holy Spirit has illuminated Scriptures on having faith to believe that all things are possible which I want to share with you as we begin a new year.  I have created an acronym with the letters of the word POSSIBLE and shared it below.

I have loved the encouragement from Scripture during this past year about how God does the equipping of us and gives us what we need to succeed allowing us to be supported by Him.  He fills us with joy and peace so that we can overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.  In our world filled with unknowns, I am thrilled to trust in God and seek Him in prayer and through study of His Word.

As I seek Him, he will add things to my life that I didn’t even know that I needed when I first prayed.  He will do beyond what we can ask, think or imagine.  Increasing in faith, knowledge and wisdom from God are my goals so that I can overflow with hope and love for others.  My prayer is that God would continue to cause me to accomplish his plans and purposes in my life, in my family, in my teaching job and in our world.

I hope that as you read the Scriptures below associated with each letter of the POSSIBLE acronym, you will be encouraged to contemplate what is possible as we begin a new chapter.  Whatever your new chapter looks like, keep your eyes on Jesus, your heart aligned with our heavenly Father’s Will and your mind steadfast in hope.  We can do this together.  It is possible.  All things are possible if you believe.  Believe that you can dig and discover the well that will never run dry as you follow Jesus.
