Each summer my family packs the car and heads to Wild Dunes in Isle of Palms, SC. Our special family friends introduced us to their beautiful place at the beach 16 years ago so we are thrilled to go there each summer to relax and unwind. Here are some of our moments to remember from this year:
Walking out on balcony when we arrive to soak in the view! Hello pool, ocean, blue skies and palm trees!
Sitting by the pool and floating in the pool!
Waking up and smelling the coffee and bacon which my in-laws are preparing! We eat the biggest breakfasts of the year with biscuits, sausage gravy, bacon, French toast and eggs!
Going out to eat for seafood in Mt.Pleasant at RB’s!
Driving around in late afternoon on a couple of nights to head to our dinner destinations!
Eating Shrimp and Grits at Fleet Landing in Charleston then visiting the Savannah’s Candy Kitchen!
Baking a cake in the shape of a sand castle and watching my family decorate it!
Of course, on some days, we take a tent, beach chairs and snacks to the beach and play in the waves! I love each of the moments that we experience on each of our trips to Wild Dunes! These unrushed days and moments infuse me with joy! I am so thankful for these days at the beach!
